Rough Cut Feedback

Today we presented our rough opening sequence to the class and everyone gave and received feedback. We were told what was good about our production and we were also given things to work and improve on.

The things that were most mentioned to work on were:
- Make the story line clearer
- Include titles/ credits
- Come up with a name for our production
- & to use the right export setting (the video lagged and glitched as we may not have exported it correctly).

Things we had good feedback on were:
- Good camera work with a variety of shots
- Well matched music
- & People also liked the rewind effect.

Now that we have our list of things to improve, we know what we have to do to get our production finished.

- Get a clip of Freya to put in at the beginning to help make more sense of what is happening when she runs up the stairs
- Come up with a title and add in credits
- Add in colour grading/ correction
- Work out which export settings to use so that we can watch it back in the right frame and with a clear picture.

Diary Entry: Editing 4

We have decided to take out all of the backwards footage and to make up the time replace it with other clips we'd filmed in the shed and in the house. Even if we had decided to keep the backwards footage in, we still would have to add in other footage as this didn't count as part of the two minutes required.

As we want to show more of what we can do with our editing skills and show more of what we've filmed (also to help the narrative make a bit more sense) we've added in a few more characters and a bit more dialogue too.

Now the plot makes a bit more sense, we've started adding in our titles but we're considering adding in a new clip of Freya in the beginning as not having any reaction from her does make it quite difficult for the audience to piece together what's going on.
